Funeral services will be held this week for a teenager killed in Meriden.
Deandre Felton, 15, died after being stabbed on Kensington Avenue on the night of Friday, Sept. 21.
His passion was football and he was a member of the Meriden Raiders football team.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. at the Apostolic Community Church, 146 Center St., Meriden, according to an obituary published in the Meriden Record-Journal. Eveyone is asked to meet directly at the church.
Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden on Monday, Oct. 1, from 3 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Deandre Felton Memorial Fund, c/o Liberty Bank, 852 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450.
