State police wrote thousands of tickets and made dozens of arrests as part of their Labor Day weekend traffic enforcement.
From midnight on Friday to 11:59 p.m. Monday, police investigated 283 accidents, 43 with injuries, but none fatal. This is an improvement from Labor Day weekend 2015 when there were 336 accidents, 58 of which had injuries and 3 were fatal.
Police said they ticketed 1,699 people for speeding, 165 for seatbelt violations, and 3,552 for other moving violations.
State police also arrested 51 people on DUI charges.
