Travelers has extended its sponsorship of the Travelers Championship golf tournament for 10 years.
The announcement was made during a news conference this morning with Travelers executives, Gov. Dannel Malloy, PGA Tour officials and other state and local leaders at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
Travelers became the tournament’s title sponsor in 2007. Since then, the Travelers Championship has raised $7 million for charity and has contributed $160 million to the state’s economy, according to a release from Malloy’s office.
