A dog that got loose on Interstate 95 in Westport is back with her family thanks to a state police trooper and some good Samaritans.
Connecticut State Police said in a Facebook post that "things got a little `hairy"' when the dog named Maggie got loose on I-95 Sunday morning.
Police said Troop G Trooper Mike Grabowski and others who stopped to help rescued the dog after a "brief but terrifying chase on the highway."
Police said the dog is now safe at home with her "human family."
