Grilled Bratwurst and Vegetables


  • 2 lbs. bratwurst
  • 2 medium-sized Bok choy cut in half and washed
  • 3 large plum tomatoes cut in half
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (plus a little extra for grilling)
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2-3 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (parsley, basil, oregano, and thyme)
  • Salt and pepper


Place bratwurst on a preheated grill and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side or until nice and charred. Remove and set aside Next place the Bok choy in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil and season with a bit of salt and pepper. Place on the grill and grill for 2 minutes on each side and then remove and set aside. Then place the tomato halves in the bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper and place on the grill. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside. Now chop the sausage, Bok choy and tomatoes into medium sized chunks and place in a large mixing bowl. Dress with 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar and 2 tablespoons maple syrup. Add the chopped herbs and taste. Season with salt and pepper if needed. Place in a serving platter and serve with mustard on the side.
