On March 21, Litchfield Filling Station was visited, not by the Easter bunny, but by the "Easter Bandits," who stole parts from five cars.

The Easter bunny is hopping across Connecticut this weekend -- including a special visit with children of deployed soldiers.

The Connecticut National Guard will host its 13th annual "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny" on Saturday at the William A. O'Neill Armory in Hartford.

The event will provide an opportunity for National Guard families to meet the Easter bunny and participate in fun activities like an easter egg hunt.  More than 700 people are expected to attend.

This year  the focus of the breakfast is for the children of Guard members who have been deployed and who are currently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

The Connecticut National Guard has mobilized and deployed 4,000 soldiers and airmen in support of the War on Terror.  Currently, 1,100 Connecticut National Guard are deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

In West Hartford, the Easter Bunny will bounce into Blue Back Square for the first annual Easter egg hunt.

The event gets underway on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the main pergola area next to Barnes and Noble.  Besides the easter egg hunt -- you can win prizes and have your picture taken with the big Bunny himself!
