A winter storm has brought snow and rain to Connecticut, prompting coastal flood advisories and several school delays on Wednesday morning.
The Litchfield Hills saw the highest accumulations, between 1 and 2 inches, before the snow changed to rain.
Several crashes have been reported, including a multi-vehicle crash on Route 9 South in Berlin that closed the road.
Another crash closed Route 149 in Colchester at Route 16, which is also Middletown Road. Police said a car hit a utility pole.
The roads are slickest in Northern Litchfield county.
Rain is expected to continue throughout the day on Wednesday.
