First Alert: Temperatures to Climb Into the 90s for 5th Day

The heat wave that started on Friday continues, the NBC Connecticut meteorologists have issued a First Alert for heat, and storms rolling through the state.

A heat advisory remains in effect for today as temperatures again climb into the 90s and the humidity continues.

The heat sticks around with 90s forecasted for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday inland, with a bit of a break along the shoreline.

A 55-year-old woman is dead after falling through the floor of a building that was under construction at an apartment complex in Vernon Friday morning.

A cold front and a chance of a storm should offer a break in the heat by the weekend.
