A man is in critical condition at the hospital and a woman was also hospitalized after a shooing in a Hartford apartment late Tuesday night.
More than five shots were fired. A man was also shot multiple times in the chest and was taken to Hartford Hospital and a woman was shot in the leg.
Police responded at about 10:19 p.m. Tuesday to the area of 240 Laurel Street to investigate a report of an assault involving a gun. Investigation revealed that the shooting happened inside an apartment unit at 53 Imlay Street.
An ambulance transported the female victim to Saint Francis Hospital and someone took the man to Hartford Hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds.
The woman's injuries were not life-threatening, but the man is listed in critical condition.
Investigators secured the crime scene on Imlay Street and the "transport vehicle at Hartford Hospital." Major crimes and evidentiary services division detectives were notified.
