Derby Alderman David Lenart abruptly resigned from the board on Wednesday.
“I write to inform you that, effective immediately, I hereby resign my position as a member of the Board of Aldermen. Thank you for the opportunity to serve,” he wrote in the brief note submitted to the clerk’s office on Wednesday night.
The memo did not mention a reason for his resignation.
