Ellington Father of 6 Missing

Haidar Abushaqra called his wife and said he was coming home, but never arrived.

The father of six children, including quadruplets born last year, hasn't been seen since Wednesday night, and his oldest brother is worried.

"I want to appeal to every father, every mother," said Baker Abushaqra. "Whoever knows where he is, please, call the police."

Police in Manchester have put out a missing persons flyer, looking for Haidar Abushaqra, 40, of Ellington.

His wife, Nada Jad, said she last heard from him at 8:24 p.m. on Wednesday and he told her he'd be home by 9 p.m. to take her to the movies.

Instead, his Mercedes sits in front of 369 Main St. in Manchester, a business that the family owns. He had been there to attend a business meeting.

"We've been through it. We opened the trunk, everything," she said.

The quadruplets were born in April 2010, the first quadruplets delivered at UConn Health Center in 12 years.
