Police Identify Man Killed in Christmas Morning Crash in Hartford

    Police Identify Man Killed in Christmas Morning Crash in Hartford

    Police have identified a Hartford man who died in a serious multi-car crash in the capital city early Christmas Day.

    One of the drivers, Luis Fajardo, 29, of Hartford, died in the crash.

    Police responded to the intersection of Hamilton Street and Pope Park Highway for a report of a serious traffic crash around 1:35 a.m. Christmas morning.

    Officers located a male operator trapped inside a heavily damaged Honda Accord.

    A second vehicle sustained heavy damage, but the driver of that vehicle only had minor inuries.

    Two parked cars were also damaged in the crash.

    Hartford Fire Department extricated the operator of the Honda Accord. An ambulance transported him to Hartford Hospital, where he died of his injuries. 

    Hartford police are still investigating the fatal crash.
