Mom Accused of Letting 10-Year-Old Daughter Shoplift

A West Hartford mother was arrested on Saturday, accused of allowing her 10-year-old daughter to shoplift.

Police arrested Sereisopheak Preap, 30, of West Hartford, at Lord & Taylor at Westfarms mall around 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, according to the arrest log.

Preap was charged with fifth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, fifth-degree larceny and risk of injury to a minor.

Bond was set at $5,000. Preap was released and is due in court on Aug. 13.
