Firefighters responded to a barn fire at Neubig Farm on Barberry Road in East Haven Friday night, according to officials.
The fire broke out just before 8:00 p.m., Friday evening.
North Branford firefighters had been called to assist.
Firefighters had to use huge ladder trucks to get at the flames. East Haven Fire department said they had a hard time getting water to the scene.
"Water is always a challenge here. There's no hydrants., the nearest hydrant is 2500 feet South of here," said Chief Doug Jackson.
No one was injured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
