New Haven Police Sergeant on Leave During Investigation Into Off-Duty Conduct

A New Haven police sergeant has been placed on paid administrative leave as the police department investigates allegations of improprieties while off duty, according to police. 

A news release from the New Haven police department says Police Chief Anthony Campbell has launched an internal investigation into alleged improprieties of Patrol Sergeant Brian McDermott. 

The department’s internal affairs unit is investigating the personnel matter and McDermott will remain on paid administrative leave until the investigation is complete, according to police. 

No additional information has been released.
