Plainville Woman in Critical Condition After Crash

    Jill Archibald, 42, of Plainville, is in critical condition.

    A 42-year-old Plainville woman is in critical condition after her Jeep flipped during a crash on Wednesday morning.

    The crash happened at 8:17 a.m. at Maxine Road and Kari Drive in Plainville.

    Jill Archibald was traveling south on Kari Drive, about 100 yards from her home, when her Jeep Wrangler collided with a Dodge Avenger driven by Ronald Picard, 62, of Bristol, police said.

    Archibald suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Hartford Hospital Trauma Center, where she is in critical condition, police said.

    Picard was also transported to Hartford Hospital Trauma Center for treatment of a possible chest injury.

    Plainville police are investigating.
