Route 97, Norwich Reopens After Fatal Crash

One person was killed in a crash on Route 97 in Norwich on Tuesday. The road was closed for hours.

Baltic Road, also known as Route 97, in Norwich was closed because of a fatal crash on Tuesday.

The driver of the car died, according to police.  Only one car was involved in the crash near Canterbury Road around 2 p.m.

Police identified the driver as Keith A. Cassell,42, of Danielson. Police said the was the only person in a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe that went off the road.

The road reopened around 7 p.m.
