Stamford Pedestrian Dies After Car Hits Him

    A 65-year-old Stamford man died Friday morning after a car pulling out of a driveway in town hit him.

    Carmine Passero was walking along a Strawberry Hill Avenue sidewalk in Stamford as Peter Parashkevov, 50, was pulling out of his driveway. Parashkevov struck him with his 2013 Mercedes-Benz C300 sedan, knocking Passero to the ground.

    An ambulance transported Passero to Stamford Hospital to be treated in the Critical Care unit for severe head injuries from the impact with the ground.

    Parashkevov stayed at the scened to talk to police.

    Stamford police continue to investigate the fatal collision. No arrests have been made at this time.
