Voter Registration Deadline Looms

Eligible voters are running out of time to register to cast ballots in Connecticut's upcoming municipal elections.

While the deadline to register online has already passed, Secretary of the State Denise Merrill said people can still sign up by mail or by visiting their local registrar of voters office by Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, absentee ballots are also available until Nov. 2 from town clerks for registered voters who are not able to vote in person at their polling place on Election Day, which is Nov. 3.

Election Day Registration will also be available for any eligible citizens who want to cast a ballot but missed the registration deadlines.

Merrill urged residents to visit www.myvote.ct.gov to determine if they're registered to vote and look up polling place locations.
