Water Main Break in Middletown

Court Street in Middletown is closed between Broad and Main streets because of a water main break and close to a million gallons of water were lost overnight.

Several buildings have not had water since 2 a.m. but repair crews hope to restore water to those buildings by 8 a.m.

Middletown water officials believe the 8-inch main dates back to the 1890s.

If you are driving through the area, use Washington Street or College Street.

It's not clear when the road will reopen.
