Connecticut Sun Guard Has Surgery on Thumb

Danielle McCray, guard for the Connecticut Sun, underwent surgery on her right thumb Thursday to repair a torn ligament.

She will be out for six to eight weeks while she recovers.

McCray played in 11 games this season, contributing 19 points and 13 rebounds. Her season-high was eight points against New York on June 16.
