As its name would imply, the City Steam Brewery Café in downtown Hartford uses city steam to power its 15 barrels. Among insiders’ favorites: The Naughty Nurse (an amber ale), White Rabbit (a Belgian WIT) and Shot Block Bock. The café is in the Cheney Building, which once housed the largest department store in Connecticut. Now, City Steam’s lower level has been converted to the Brew HaHa Comedy Club.
