The Urban League of Greater Hartford is hosting its 50th Anniversary Equal Opportunity Dinner on Friday, Nov. 7. The dinner begins at 7 p.m. at the Hartford Marriott Downtown, on 200 Columbus Blvd.
The League will be congratulating four students (Trecell Murchison, Xavier Arriaga, Shenella Tyndall, and Natasha Ruiz) who recently placed 3rd nationally in the first round of the National Urban League Youth Leadership Summit Case Competition.
The students addressed the growing problems that have to do with Underemployment and Unemployment that face many young people and adults deal with today.
The students are preparing a live presentation of their research which they will present on July 23-26 in Cincinnati, OH at the Upcoming Youth Leadership Summit.
