Crow admitted that she sought out the MRI, which confirmed the diagnosis, because she was having memory problems—even forgetting lyrics on stage.

Sheryl Crow has kept a brain tumor diagnosis to herself since November.

The 50-year-old breast cancer survivor casually mentioned she had been diagnosed with meningioma, a benign tumor, to a columnist from the Las Vegas Review-Journal Friday, shrugging it off since it wasn't life-threatening.

"I haven't really talked about it," she said. "But it's benign so I don't have to worry about it."

Still, Crow admitted that she sought out the MRI, which confirmed the diagnosis, because she was having memory problems.

The singer said that a month ago she forgot part of her hit song, "Soak Up the Sun" during performance in Florida. "I'm 50, what can I say," she reportedly told the crowd.

Her rep emphasized to E! News that Crow was healthy and the diagnosis should not alarm anyone.

"Half of us are walking around with [meningioma] but you don't relly know unless you happen to have an MRI," she said. "[Crow] has no symptoms and everything is fine."
