2019 Walk to End Alzheimer's Sunday, October 13

NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut are proud to support the Alzheimer’s Association annual Walk to End Alzheimer's at Rentschler Field in East Hartford on Sunday, Oct. 13.

The two-mile long walk will be hosted by NBC Connecticut’s Heidi Voight. Registration begins at 8:30AM, followed by a ceremony at 10:00AM and the walk at 10:30AM.

The goal of the walk is to raise awareness and funds so that care, support and research can be provided to those living with the disease.

While there is no fee to register, participants are encouraged to donate or fundraise to help contribute to the cause. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free tools and support to help participants reach their fundraising goal.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s has been held in more than 600 communities nationwide and, as a whole, has provided more than $475 million in funds in over 3,000 scientific proposals for Alzheimer’s care.
