Either way, it's once again time for Green Day to bring their high-energy act to Hartford. Since their debut in the mid-90s, the punk trio has been selling millions of albums and wowing live crowds. And with their American Idiot effort followed up by "21st Century Breakdown," they've reached a whole new level. Tonight, they're hitting the stage at the Comcast Theatre. Tickets are $20 to $85. 168 POUNDS: Louisiana post-Grunge band 12 Stones is rocking out in Connecticut tonight. Since their debut in 2000, the band has released three albums and has found themselves on the charts with singles like "Lie to Me" and "Adrenaline." Tonight, they're playing at the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den. The show is free and kicks off at 8 p.m.
BY THE DOZEN: The Bard's classic comedy "Twelfth Night" is being reincarnated tonight on the Old Saybrook Town Green. The play, that centers on a shipwreck, jealousy, mistaken identity, cross-dressing with a few fights and duels, is being put on as part of Shakespeare on the Shoreline. The show, performed by the Connecticut Free Shakespeare Company is free, and all you have to do is bring your own picnic dinner, blankets and chairs. The curtain rises at 8 p.m., but for $50, you can enjoy Twelfth Night on the Twelfth. Join the Friends of Kate for a Shakespearean supper created by J.A.M.S.S. Restaurant and Mionetto Prosecco Bar before moving on to reserved seats on the green. And after the show, return to the Kate for coffee and dessert as you meet the actors from the show. But fear not. If you miss tonight's performance, you can check it out Saturday and Sunday night too.
