A Branford official hopes the new state transportation commissioner will find a way to tackle one of the oldest undone projects in the state -- the Amtrak Bridge reconstruction. The hope now lies with a federal stimulus funding package that President-elect Barack Obama intends to send to Congress after he takes office Jan. 20.
