Noodles & Co. Coming to Hartford

Denver-based chain Noodles & Company is plotting a takeover of the Hartford area's fast-casual dining scene, with "several locations" poised to open over the next few years. Hartford Business also reports that Robert and Bradford Barton, who brought ubiquitous burger chain Five Guys Burgers & Fries to the state, are spearheading the effort and will open their first Hartford outpost next summer.

Noodles & Company is expanding rapidly throughout the country, but the Hartford location will be their first in New England. The popular lunch hangout serves as a one-stop noodle shop with Asian, Mediterranean and American dishes dotting the menu. Ostensibly, you'll be able to order Pesto Cavatappi, Bangkok Curry and Wisconsin Cheddar Mac & Cheese in the same sitting. They also offer lighter fare, with a host of soup and salad combinations. Bonus: All the locations will be permitted to sell beer and wine, which should help Noodles & Company develop a following when they launch next summer.
