Michael Jordan's SolToro Tequila Grill and El Charro Tequila have partnered to present The Perfect Margarita Contest, a series of monthly competitions at the Mohegan Sun restaurant that will ultimately crown the state's most magnificent margarita on Cinco de Mayo. To enter, visit the event page here, fill out a brief form, and submit your best margarita recipe. Of course, all submissions must use co-sponsor El Charro's tequila.
Competition officials will invite the top entries to one of three monthly semi-final competitions on February 24, March 31, and April 28 hosted by radio personalities from Soft Rock 106.5 and Jammin' 107.7. Their margarita creations will be judged by a panel that includes SolToro officials and local media. The top contestants from each of the three semi-finals face off on May 5 to win $500 in gift certificates and cash, along with the ultimate bragging rights: their recipe will be listed on SolToro's cocktail menu for one year.
