Stomp Grapes at H-B's Harvest Fest

Litchfield's ten-acre Haight-Brown Vineyard is throwing its annual Harvest Festival this Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The events revolve around the fall grape harvest, with wine tastings, wines served by the glass, and tours of the cellar and vineyard grounds. Guests will then be invited to participate in a grape stomp, which is always a huge crowd-pleaser. The Cambridge House will also be on hand, serving a host of award-winning, locally-produced craft beers.

It's a family-friendly event, with plenty of shopping, hay rides, and childrens activities. Expect a large crowd of wine enthusiasts, as it's one of the final large-scale vineyard gatherings of the season and a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at Haight-Brown operation. For a winery gathering, it's also relatively cheap: Admission is just $8-$15.
