Tonight: Britney and Nicki Minaj Play CT

Ladies Night: Britney Spears brings her star-studded Femme Fatale Tour to Hartford's XL Center tonight. The pop princess is being supported by an impressive cast of openers that includes hip hop chart-topper Nicki Minaj, Jersey Shore's DJ Pauly D, Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo. The show was widely expected to sell out, but tickets remain available for $26.50-$347. 7 p.m.

Historical Humor: Colin Quinn Long Story Short, a collaboration between the former SNL star and director Jerry Seinfeld, kicks off a limited run at New Haven's Long Wharf Theatre. The show runs through August 21 and Quinn's 75-minute act has been described as a whimsical, whirlwind examination of the last two-thousand years of human history, peppered with pop culture references and Shakespearean quotes. Tickets are $50. 8 p.m.

MGM's Free Tunes Tuesday: The Bacon Brothers, the singer-songwriter duo featuring noted actor Kevin Bacon and his brother Michael, are playing a free show at MGM Grand at Foxwoods. The New Yorker heaped praise upon the pair, debunking the notion that the Bacon Brothers are a celebrity-driven gimmick act: "Hollywood hangs like an albatross around the neck of any movie star turned musician, but this duo shakes off the burden of fame with sharply executed rock that has a bluecollar, rootsy edge." No cover. 7 p.m.
