What You're Doing Tonight: May 21

Magicians/comedians Penn & Teller are taking their act to the Theater at MGM Grand at Foxwoods tonight.  Penn Jillette and his silent sidekick Teller have been performing their brand of slightly psychotic entertainment for 30 years. Their stage show includes incredible juggling routines, some remarkably twisted humor, and some truly jaw-dropping magic.

Besides their act, the duo have penned three best selling books and earned two Emmy nominations for their Showtime Series, “Penn & Teller: Bulls**t!”  I can tell you first hand, that these guys put on a first-rate show.  And that's no bull!

Tickets will run you $20-$40.  The show starts at 7 p.m.

On the music scene:  Madina Lake will be at the Webster Underground tonight in Hartford.

The band formed in Chicago in 2005 and says they draw their influences from acts like Smashing Pumpkins and Nine Inch Nails.  They've made appearances on the Warped Tour, and the lead singer and bassist (twins Matthew and Nathan Leone) even starred in a special edition of Fear Factor, winning $50,000.

Tickets for tonight's show, which starts at 6 p.m. are just $12.

Finally, it may be the ultimate guy's night.  Francesco's Ristorante & Lounge in Hartford is throwing their Spring Fling with HYPE.  It's a night filled with scotch and cigar tastings.  You can almost smell the testosterone.

Tickets are $25 at the doors, and the scotch starts flowing at 6 p.m.
