A 15-year-old male is accused of breaking into a 25-year-old woman's New Milford home on Thursday morning, sexually assaulting her and choking her to the point where she passed out.
The teen broke into the woman's unit at the Willow Springs condominium complex around 2:50 a.m. Thursday morning. The victim woke to find the teen in her room, police said. She did not know the suspect.
When the victim regained consciousness after the attack, she called 911 to report it and was taken to New Milford Hospital. She has since been released.
Information was developed early on in the investigation led police to the suspect, police said.
The teen is at the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center, where he will be held until his arraignment on Monday at Danbury Juvenile Court.
Police said they have had runs in with this male but never for anything like this.
