North Carolina Girl Reported Missing from New Canaan Found Safe

Police said she might have runaway.

A 17-year-old North Carolina girl visiting New Canaan with her family who was reported missing has been found safe.

They said Melissa Cheyenne Davis, 17, of Old Fort, North Carolina, was in New Canaan, visiting family with her parents and sibling, and was last seen at 9 p.m. Thursday when she went to her bedroom at the house she was visiting, police said.  She was reported missing on Friday.

Police said she was found in New York City by police there.  She has been reunited with her parents, according to police.
