3 Charged With Trashing Naugatuck Home

The suspects caused $50,000 in damage to the house, police said.

Three men are accused of trashing a home in Naugatuck over the weekend.

Police responded to 28 Simsberry Road at 8:12 p.m. Saturday after a neighbor called 911 to say they could hear a the house being damaged. When police arrived then found one suspect in the kitchen. They also found extensive damage in the home.

According to police, furniture was broken, graffiti had been scrawled on doors and walls, a sliding glass door was broken, and appliances had been thrown into the pool. In all, the suspects caused about $50,000 in damage, police said.

Two of the suspects left the home before police arrived. Officers used a police dog to track the suspects, and found them walking on Mulberry Street.

Christopher DaSilva, 21, Joshua Tulley, 18, and Mathew Lantieri, 20, are charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief. The suspects, who are all from Naugatuck, were released from custody and are scheduled to be in court Sept. 26.
