A pair of coyotes were spotted attacking two dogs in Manchester, police said.

Manchester's Animal Control was sent to a trail on Garth Road on Friday after a report of coyotes hurting domestic dogs. One dog was sent to the vet with five different wounds as a result of the coyote attack, Manchester police said.

The dog's owner and the other dog were not injured.

DEEP has said it is whelping season and coyotes will be particularly aggressive during these times, according to Manchester police.

Area residents should use caution when walking outside and should be particularly careful in letting their dogs out in the area, police said
