Branford Robbery
Two men robbed the Sunoco Gas Station at 700 West Main St. in Branford around 12:30am Wednesday morning, police said. The clerk told police the two men threatened him with a large knife, possibly a machete. They stole approximately 60 cartons of cigarettes.
Meriden Fire
A fire at a foreclosed home in Meriden on Monday night was intentionally set, according to fire officials. Fire Marshal Steve Trella said the fire had been set at several points within the house, which had been foreclosed on five months ago.
Naugatuck Shooting
Naugatuck police have prepared weapons and motor vehicle charges against Michael Mason, 48, of Naugatuck. They say Mason shot at a gas pump at the Sunoco station on New Haven Road on Saturday morning.
He left in his vehicle and crashed a few minutes later. Mason is being treated at Yale-New Haven Hospital for his injuries.

Not Guilty Finding in Murder Trial
A man has been found not guilty in the murder of his 85-year-old father by reason on insanity. A three-judge panel decided Brian Pagnam, 41, of Enfield is mentally ill. After his arrest in 2006, Pagnam told police the C.I.A. ordered him to kill his father.
Guilty Plea in Foxwoods Credit Card Case
A 31-year-old Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty to taking part in a $1.8 million credit card scam at Foxwoods Resort Casino, the Associated Press reports.
Truong Truong of New Bedford, Mass., pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of bank fraud. The charge is related to fraudulent automated payments from fictitious bank accounts being posted to credit card accounts, court documents state. Truong is to be sentenced in January and faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
