Connecticut is lowering all flags to half-staff for the victims of the mass shootings this weekend in Texas and Ohio.

Governor Ned Lamont announced that flags will be lowered "as a mark of solemn respect," in accordance with a presidential proclamation directing flags to be lowered.

U.S. and state flags will fly at half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on Aug. 8.
