Hartford police have arrested a suspect in a shooting on Capitol Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday and found the victim suffering a gunshot would to the face.
Police cornoned off an area surrounding the scene and found a man matching the suspect's description. They also found two guns and a ski mask nearby, police said.
They arrested Julio Monet, 29, of Hartford, and charged him with atttempted murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal use of a firearm.
Police said the male victim was conscious and alert at the scene.
Monet is being held on a more than $1 million bond.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.
