State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection environmental conservation police are investigating the untimely death of a 62-year-old hiker at Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden on Sunday afternoon.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the man likely died of a heart attack, collapsing during a hike.
Hamden firefighters and EMS personnel and state police responded just before 3:30 p.m.
Environmental conservation police are investigating the death.
