Man Shot Twice in New Haven

A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot twice in New Haven early Saturday morning.

According to police, a 25-year-old male was riding his bike in front of the Casa Familia Shelter on Sylvan Street around 2:30 a.m. when he was shot twice in the stomach.

The suspect fled the scene in a car.

The victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition.

Police are still searching for a suspect. The victim was uncooperative at the scene and police have no description of the fleeing vehicle.
