A Middletown elementary school was locked down from 10:15 a.m. Friday to about 12:15 p.m. after a person with a shotgun was reported in the fields near the school.
The school, The Lawrence School, is located on Kaplan Drive, in a wooded area.
The person was not on school property and police were checking the area.
