Google Helps Cops Find Missing Man in NYC

A 75-year-old man who disappeared from a Meriden nursing home is OK and at a New York hospital thanks to a doctor’s Google search and transit police in Manhattan.

Bradford Littlefield, 75, walked away from East Ridge Manor, a retirement home on Preston Avenue in Meriden, around 8 a.m. on Sunday, police said.

A doctor at the center searched Littlefield’s name on Google and learned he was missing, police said.

Police said they thought someone picked Littlefield up in a car, dropped him off on Pratt Street in Meriden and he was heading for the local Amtrak Station. They alerted Amtrak authorities and NYC Transit Police found Littlefield at a Manhattan train station on Monday morning.

Police are coordinating arrangements to bring him back to the assisted living home in Meriden.
