Police Offer Lifesaving Advice for Before and During a Mass Shooting

In light of the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, State Police in Connecticut are sharing information on what you can do prior to a mass shooting and during one to save your life. 

Police recommend you train your brain and look for multiple exits and places to hide when you walk into a public building. 

If you hear gunfire, you will automatically be able to react and not waste time. 

State Police and the Department of Homeland Security also recommend if you hear gunfire, you immediately decide to run, hide or fight.
