18-Year-Old Critical After New Haven Shooting

The victim was shot once in the chest, police said.

New Haven Police are investigating a shooting in the area of Chapel Street and Ellsworth Avenue that left an 18-year-old New Haven man in critical condition.

Police responded around 4:35 p.m. on Monday after receiving reports of shots being fired in the area and found Lamar Nalley with a gunshot wound to the chest on the porch of 80 Stanley St.

Nalley was taken to a nearby hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Police said there are no suspects and the incident remains under investigation.
