    Shooting Investigation Underway at Norwich Home

    Police are investigating an overnight shooting at a home in Norwich on Tuesday. (Published Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019)

    Police are investigating an overnight shooting at a home in Norwich on Tuesday.

    Dispatchers received a 911 call about shots fired at a home on Surrey Lane around 12:30 a.m.

    When officers arrived to the home, they said they found one person within the home with injuries. The person was taken to the hospital with injuries that officers said do not appear to be life-threatening.

    Investigators believe several shots were fired at the front of the home and believe the address was targeted.

    There is no threat to any other residents in the area, police said.

    The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
