Suspect in Cheshire Carnival Company Shooting Charged

A man was shot by a friend during an accidental shooting, police said.

Police have arrested a suspect in an accidental shooting at a carnival company on Reinhard Road in Cheshire.

Police said friends were drinking during a party and one person shot a 24-year-old man in the chest inside a trailer just after 1 a.m. on Friday at Tufano Amusements, which specializes in carnival rides and festivals.

After hours of interviewing people, police said one friend shot another accidentally. In a panic, the group threw the rest of the guns they had outside the trailer, officers said.

The victim was transported to Midstate Hospital and later airlifted to Hartford Hospital, where surgery was performed.

The suspect has been identified as Sean Cazimovski. He is not an employee of Tufano Amusements, the company officials told police.

Police have not said if any charges will be filed.
