Warm Week Ahead

High temperatures are expected to continue this upcoming week.

Although we are in Mid-March, it certainly doesn't feel like it in the state. Much of Connecticut has been enjoying unseasonably warm weather.

Many people took the opportunity to hit the golf course and enjoy the first ice cream cone of the season. The unseasonably warm weather is also impacting businesses. Warm weather means more customers at the Canoe Club in Middletown.

"You know we're getting this little boost for business, people are tired of cabin fever and they want to be out," said the Canoe Club's owner.

High temperature records have been broken this past week and are expected to continue this upcoming week.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said, Sunday's temperatures at Bradley Airport soared to 71 degrees and a high of about 75 degrees is likely for Monday.

Warmest day this week is expected Thursday when it could get to 80 inland, said Hanrahan.
