The Hartford Police Department identified the victim of a homicide that occurred on Cambridge Street on Friday night as Jayquan Williams, 21.
Two people were shot just before 7 p.m. and were both taken to the hospital.
Williams, of Hartford, did not survive, police said.
Police have not released the name of the second victim, but police said he is 21 and remains in critical condition at a local hospital after being shot in the face.
Police continue to investigate and ask the public for help.
