Police arrested a Wallingford man after a hit-and-run accident Monday afternoon.
Anthony Dimonaco, Jr. allegedly hit a woman and her dog at the intersection of Hope Hill Road and Hill Avenue in Wallingford, police said.
The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The dog did not survive.
Dimonaco left the scene but returned a short time later, according to police. He was arrested and charged with Evading Responsibility, and Failure to comply with requirements following injury or death of a dog following a motor vehicle collision. Dimonaco was released on $5,000 bond.
